The list of participants qualified to take part in the competition will be announced on 15 November 2025 on the website of the Silesian Science Festival Katowice.
The competition is based on the hackathon formula.
Within 24 hours, participants, divided into interdisciplinary teams, will face challenges that they themselves will define. They will be accompanied by mentors – experts who will inspire and provide support – and supervisors who will take care of the organisational aspects. The competition will take place on 22-23 November in spinPLACE (Bankowa 5, Katowice).
During the final stage of the event, each team will present their project during a 10-minute presentation to the jury. Members of the winning team will receive a cash prize of PLN 5,000 for the team. Team members of other distinguished projects will receive a cash prize of PLN 2,500 for the team.
The competition is organised by the University of Silesia and the City of Katowice.
