About the competition

The competition is organised as part of the Silesian Science Festival. It provides a space for presenting the work of project teams consisting of students and academics of the University of Silesia in Katowice as part of the Motivational System in Academic Education.
The aim of the competition is to popularise scientific, educational, social and artistic projects carried out as part of Motivational System in Academic Education, as well as to strengthen cooperation and joint thinking in the academic community. The event emphasised the importance of teamwork, mentoring and innovative forms of academic education.

Competition procedure

During the Silesian Science Festival, teams supervised by academics present their ideas in the form of short, several-minute presentations, which are then evaluated by the competition jury and the audience. Prizes are awarded for first, second and third place, and there is also an Audience Award presented to one of the teams.
In order to ensure that participants are as well prepared as possible, the organisers hold a training webinar on public speaking, during which participants learn the principles of effective presentation and self-presentation on stage.
