The 9th Silesian Science Festival is closer than even! Discover our guests and dare to experiment with them!
The 9th ŚFN will host:
● Ben Still, PhD – particle physicist, high school teacher, communicator of science, and author and editor of popular science books dedicated to quantum physics, chemistry and particle physics.
● Kat Phillips, PhD – innovation research associate at the University of Warwick and maths communicator online under the name ‘KatDoesMaths’.
● Wojciech Mann - journalist, literary scholar, radio personality since the age of 17, amateur actor.
● Paweł Frelik, PhD, DLitt, Assoc. Prof. at the University of Warsaw – cultural studies researcher, widely known for his passion for speculative fiction.
● Prof. Irena Lipowicz – lawyer and diplomat, Commissioner for Human Rights in Poland (2010-2015), Sejm deputy (1991 – 2002), the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Austria (2000-2004).
● Alex Baker, PhD – research chemist and inventor at the University of Warwick, with a passion for engaging the public in all things chemistry and science
● Piotr Kosek – a space enthusiast and science communicator, best known for the Astrofaza channel on YouTube.
● Przemysław Bartos - author of the blog and fan page Przyroda dla Sosnowca [Nature for Sosnowiec].
