The recruitment of activities for the 9th Silesian Science Festival in Katowice includes fascinating exhibition stands that encourage experimentation and the discovery of scientific secrets. So, if you are the author of such an undertaking and want to share it with a wide audience, we are looking for you! Present your topic of interest in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere at the 9th ŚFN Katowice!
This year's Silesian Science Festival in Katowice will take place from 6 to 8 December. Once again, participants will be able to take part in numerous activities available in a rich and diverse programme run by true science enthusiasts.
The theme of this year's event is ‘Dare to experiment!’. We encourage you to submit activities that combine different fields of science, encourage experimentation and approach the issues in a new and creative way.
We would also like to emphasise the vital role of universities in tackling contemporary challenges and shaping future generations of researchers. Universities are spaces where you can try new things, test different mechanisms and processes, and put your own concepts and ideas into practice. Thanks to this, through experiments, we can have a real impact on reality, engage in dialogue with others and change the world for the better!
Recruitment for the 9th ŚFN Katowice
The recruitment is open until 31 March. We especially encourage you to submit exhibition stands that reflect the theme of the 9th Silesian Science Festival in Katowice – an interesting, experimental approach to such areas of knowledge as humanities and social sciences, science, nature, technology, medicine and health, and art.
You can submit proposals for exhibition stands and other activities using the form. All the necessary information about the recruitment can be found on the website of the Silesian Science Festival Katowice.
Exhibition stands at previous editions of ŚFN Katowice
Fascinating stands have become an integral part of the programme of each edition of the Silesian Science Festival Katowice. Addressed to both children and adults, they allow you to look at scientific issues from a new perspective and engage you in discovering them for yourself. They are a source of reflection, as well as a search for solutions to the problems and challenges of the modern world.
During the past editions of ŚFN Katowice, we looked at plant structure under a microscope, explored the secrets of Japanese cosmetology and the placebo effect, and took many trips through history – including learning about the armament of European knights and the traditional attire of Slavs. There were also plenty of exhibition stands that invited us into the world of modern technology: we learned how to control robots and how to use AI tools creatively in everyday life. We also saw a prototype of a Mars rover and a pneumatic model of Jupiter, which reproduced the appearance of the largest planet in space with colour, sound (and even smell!). Everyone was also welcome to participate in interesting chemistry shows, play games about environmental protection, take part in calligraphy workshops or learn about different coffee-making techniques and taste the drinks they made themselves.
And this is just a small part of the long list of fascinating exhibition stands that could be visited during the previous editions of the Science Festival Katowice!
Don't hesitate – submit your proposal and enrich the 9th edition of the Science Festival Katowice with a unique exhibition stand that will encourage creative thinking and experimentation in various fields of science!
