We have had three days full of fascinating discoveries, inspiring meetings and scientific excitement at the highest level. Tens of thousands of people thirsty for knowledge took part in the 9th Silesian Science Festival in Katowice – this shows how incredible the power of science is! Check out the 9th ŚFN Katowice in numbers.

This year's edition of the Silesian Science Festival Katowice took place on 6–8 December under the slogan ‘Dare to experiment!’. The festival attracted crowds of visitors of all ages to the International Congress Centre in Katowice and showed how many fascinating scientific issues we can discover together.

This great celebration of knowledge discovery began with a special show – Night at the City of Science. We had the opportunity to watch a performance entitled ‘EXPERYMENT’ (EXPERIMENT), which referred to the theme of the Festival. This year's programme of ŚFN Katowice also included many new features, among them new special zones – the Film Zone and the Science Fiction Zone.

The 9th ŚFN Katowice welcomed many special guests from Poland and abroad, including Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski. There were also the results of the competitions held as part of ŚFN Katowice. We met the winners of the Silesian Scientific Award and the competitions for the POP Science Award, OFF Science, sChOOL Science – European Funds for Young People, Power Teams. Student Project Competition, and Invent the Future. Katowice – City of Science of the Future. You can read more about the completed edition of the Festival in the summary of all three days.
