The Silesian Science Festival Katowice is a space where you can let your imagination run wild and talk about science in an unconventional way! We are waiting for proposals for activities for this year's ninth edition of the Festival. Show others how you see science!
The 9th ŚFN Katowice will take place from 6 to 8 December. The 9th ŚFN Katowice will take place from 6 to 8 December. We are currently accepting proposals for activities that will present the amazing world of science to visitors in an extraordinary way, in line with this year's theme ‘Dare to experiment!’. Experimentation is an integral part of science – it allows us to discover and explore new solutions and at the same time prepares us for life in a constantly changing reality.
Examples of activities promoting science that can be proposed for the 9th ŚFN Katowice programme include, among others, exhibitions. This form allows for an attractive presentation of how the work of scientists affects the reality around us. During last year's edition of the Festival, many interesting exhibitions were organised by creative artists. The topics covered many different fields of science and art, which were presented through photography, painting or metalwork. The presentations covered topics related to literature, design, space and the human body.
At the 8th ŚFN Katowice, we had the opportunity to see the importance of design in our everyday lives and how the human body behaves when no one is looking. We also learnt more about the activities of the art group ‘Gwarek 58’ and explored the corners of space together thanks to the images created by the James Webb Space Telescope. Last year's Festival was also an opportunity to participate in exhibitions about femininity, the microworld, and metalwork as the cultural heritage of Cieszyn.
Submit your experimental proposal to the programme of the 9th ŚFN Katowice!
