Is it the Council's task to standardise and codify the language? Should it only deal with the standardisation of spelling? Is it its task to establish a boundary between error and linguistic innovation? Are/can/should the expectations towards Silesian Language Council be the same as those towards Polish Language Council? The debate is intended to confront public expectations with the Council's capabilities and to dispel some common misconceptions.
