ŚFN the best communication and marketing initiative!

Promotional materials of the 3rd Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE were recognised as the best communication and marketing initiative among European universities! The representative of the University of Silesia, Giga Gogosashvili, received the EUPRIO Golden Rose during the European Association of Communication Professionals in Higher Education conference held in Poznań.


Posters were to be submitted by 31 May at the latest and accompanied with a comprehensive description of the event promoted by the particular project. Afterwards, all qualified entries were presented to the conference participants by the representatives of the submitting institutions;in the case of the ŚFN poster, it was the University of Silesia in Katowice. During the presentation, the participants of the event had the opportunity to see the ŚFN poster, as well as the presentation of the event containing, among others, video summaries of the Festival. Each person taking part in the EUPRIO meeting in the capital of Wielkopolska could vote for one of the projects, and this vox populi had to be taken into account when delivering the verdict by a five-member jury composed of: Martin Herrema (the Chairman, University of Kent, the UK), Hannamaija Helander (University of Helsinki, Finland), Ludo Koks (University of Utrecht, the Netherlands), Christine Legrand (CPE Lyon, France), and Gudrun Pichler (University of Graz, Austria).

Representatives of the Organising Committee of the Silesian Science Festival were asked to present the award-winning event at the next conference of the European Association of Communication Professionals in Higher Education taking place in Italy next year.

The author of the poster is Marek Głowacki, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Drawing at the Faculty of Arts and Educational Science of the University of Silesia.
