The time has come for you to submit your project to the OFF Science competition and show your invention to a broader audience on 4 December 2022 during the Silesian Science Festival!
A handful of useful information
OFF Science — Review of Garage Invention is an inseparable part of the ŚFN programme. This competition is a great chance to present the work of amateur inventors (individually or in a team of up to 5 people) who made their unique technical solutions into reality.
The leading idea is to show how many incredible ideas are collecting dust in our garages. We want to see some science — no matter your age, gender, or experience!
How can you sign up?
The best invention prize is at your fingertips! You can submit your project using the form available on the website of the Silesian Science Festival, and then await the decision of our Jury, which evaluates the submitted inventions. It is composed of distinguished academics — Tomasz Rożek, Wiktor Niedzicki, Łukasz Lamża, Arkadiusz Gorzawski, and Łukasz Wilczyński.
If your idea makes it to the final round, you will be able to compete for cash prizes in three categories: the Audience Award, the Jury Award, and the Netizen Award.
Can there be something better than a broad recognition of your work?
Both, novel devices and solutions as well as innovative ideas to transform the already established technology can be submitted.
Up to now, the audience of the Silesian Science Festival had the opportunity to see the humanoid robot NEO, learn how the application for reading human thoughts works, and see how larvae can help us in the biodegradation of polystyrene waste.
