Reading Nature Stage created by Łukasz Lamża is one of the new additions to this year’s edition of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE.
Łukasz Lamża is one of the Ambassadors of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE and is associated with the Festival since the 3rd edition. On his day-to-day, he is a scientific journalist, writer, and translator of popular science texts. ‘Tygodnik Powszechny’ weekly has been publishing his works. He is a natural philosopher. He works at the Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of the Jagiellonian University, where he is involved in promoting the fields of science that are dear to him — mainly cosmology and astrophysics.
On the first day of the Festival, (4 December) Łukasz Lamża will run the Reading Nature Stage. It will be a place of meetings and discussions with festival guests, including Justyna Lauer – a graphic designer specialising in information visualisation, Lech Mazurczyk – an infographic designer who has been conducting trainings in visual communication for 15 years, Max Skorwid – a graphic artist and children's book illustrator, and Agata Mendziuk – a conceptual and narrative photographer. During the Festival you will be able to enjoy the exhibition featuring four large-format graphics created by the stage guests. Each of them will attempt to provide a visual answer to the important questions facing modern science.
On the next day (5 December), Lech Mazurkiewicz will conduct closed workshops on knowledge visualisation and making infographics at the Reading Nature Stage.
To attend the events taking place at the Reading Nature Stage on 4-5 December you need to register on the website of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE (the English version will be made available soon).
All interested persons are invited to participate in the workshops and lectures taking place at the Reading Nature Stage after prior registration.
