Festivals EXPO will consist of two parts: programme for delegates, very well-known from the previous editions, which will be attended by representatives of organisational offices of science festivals, and a complete novelty, i.e. Science Expo.
The event includes EXPO stage and exhibition stands by science communicators and representatives of science festivals. There will also be an exhibition showing photos and interesting facts about science festivals associated at the Forum of Science Festival Organisers, which will be displayed on the Market Square in Katowice.
The programme of Festivals EXPO includes a debate 'Nanotechnologies: the frontier of sustainability' with the participation of Trieste Next festival representatives, lecture 'Fighting the melting pot of volcano misinformation in the media', given by Sam Poppe, science show by Davida Price, meeting with ŚFN ambassador Tomasz Rożek, as well as show by science rapper Jon Chase.
We have also prepared science shows. The participants will also be able to see how Mars Rover Scorpio 7 and a lifting aircraft work, how impressive the world of chemistry is, find out how much science is in magic, as well as learn to distinguish between different groups of invertebrates.
