We met the finalists of the OFF Science - Review of Garage Inventions!

Recruitment for the OFF Science competition, which promotes the phenomenon of social inventiveness and innovation, has ended. 11 finalists have been selected, who will present their original works on 4 December during the 6th Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE!

Participants of the OFF Science Competition final:

• Michał Nowak – Bell’s aquarium controller
• Patryk Olejniczak, Emilia Basiura, Anna Leśny – Study of the kinetics of the reaction ofcopper with nitric acid (V)
• Kacper Kaczmarek, Hubert Żarnowski – Electric skateboard with smart lighting
• Kamil Machura, Eryk Kampka, Denis Niebiałek – Breath Detect Vest
• Magdalena Michna-Czyrwik – Hydrotherapy stand
• Mikołaj Lech, Kamil Kaczor – Intuitive presentation
• Bartłomiej Czosnek, Jakub Kosowicz – Smart traffic mirror
• Paweł Bednarski, Konrad Figiel – A roadway for pedestrians and drivers, i.e. an intelligent warning system
• Łukasz Ruba, Jakub Hulek, Ryszard Błażej – Easily accessible high-resolution spectroscope
• Julia Nowak, Dorian Markusik, Karol Wilk, Martyna Kramarz, Szymon Hudziak – Therapeutic interactive devices
• Filip Szafraniak, Mikołaj Koło, Mikołaj Kłakulak – Workstation for learning PLC programming

Participants will present their original works on 4 December in the lower foyer of the auditorium. In the OFF Science Zone, the audience will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite.

The competition results announcement will take place on the same day at 6.05 p.m.–6.25 p.m. on the Main Stage. The winners will receive cash prizes in three categories: Festival Audience Award, Competition Committee Award and Internet Users Award.
