Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, General Director of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE, and Tomasz Rożek, PhD, one of our ambassadors, received the ‘Promoter of Poland’ titles during the second day of the European Economic Congress held in Katowice.
Prof. Koziołek was recognised as the Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice and Tomasz Rożek — as a science communicator and the founder of the ‘Science. I Like it’ Foundation.
‘Promoter of Poland’ is the title awarded to persons whose cultural, scientific, or business achievements help establish Poland’s reputation as a national brand. The award honours individuals who, through their achievements and commitment, contribute to the promotion and enhancement of a positive image of our country.
The statuettes went also to other Silesia representatives: Marta Zawadzka, President of the Polish Hockey League; Prof. Jan Klimek, President of the Chamber of Craft and Small and Medium Entreprises in Katowice; Janusz Legoń, Kinga Ciba, and Katarzyna Dendys-Kosecka, organisers of the International Theatre Festival ‘Without Borders’.
The upcoming 7th Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE will take place between 9 and 11 December this year.
