You can submit proposals for nominations to the POP Science Award organised as part of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE 2023 until 29 May. The awards are granted in an open competition to persons and projects promoting science communication.
Each person can submit their nomination proposals in the following categories:
- Video Blog,
- Website or Blog,
- Radio Broadcast or Podcast,
- Think Globally, Act Locally – Academic Community
- Think Globally, Act Locally – Resident of the Silesian Voivodeship
Two regional categories award people who promote knowledge using different communication channels and are university representatives or act without such an affiliation (e.g. in a school, an NGO).
The jury appointed by the organiser of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE will select nominees from the submitted proposals, while the winners will be announced as a result of the voting scheduled for summer/autumn 2023.

This year’s POP Science Award will be the 4th one presented. It is one of the three awards presented as part of the Silesian Science Festival KATOWICE. In addition to this award recognising science communicators, the Silesian Scientific Award and the OFF Science Garage Invention Review awards are presented as well.
