W trakcie warsztatów uczestnicy zmierzą się z pytaniem, na ile ich wybory są wynikiem niezależnej refleksji, a na ile – skutkiem presji zewnętrznej. Eksperyment łączy elementy symulacji decyzyjnych: od błyskawicznych zakupów, przez reakcje na nagłe kryzysowe sytuacje, aż po wpływ opinii grupy. Każde zadanie stawia uczestników przed koniecznością szybkiego wyboru, który ukazuje, jak emocje i społeczne oczekiwania kształtują nasze decyzje. Inspirując się stoicką myślą Epikteta, badamy, czy naprawdę mamy kontrolę nad własnym losem, czy też nasze wybory są jedynie odbiciem reakcji na to, co nas otacza.
During the workshops, participants will face the question of to what extent their choices are the result of independent reflection and to what extent – the result of external pressure. The experiment combines elements of decision-making simulations: from instant purchases, through reactions to sudden crisis situations, to the influence of group opinion. Each task forces participants to make quick choices, revealing how emotions and social expectations shape our decisions. Inspired by the Stoic thought of Epictetus, we examine whether we truly have control over our own fate, or whether our choices are merely a reflection of our reactions to what surrounds us.
