Following Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences, people have different intelligences, including visual-spatial and verbal-linguistic. Visual-spatial intelligence enables us to think in images and mental representations perceived in space (we are picture smart). Verbal-linguistic intelligence describes our ability to use, understand, and produce language as an inborn human capacity (we are word smart). The workshop offers a few drawing-writing tasks, such as Picasso dictation or picture reading. The focus is on image-text relations to address the dilemma that arises when the first word or a picture occurs in human cognitive development.
