Videogames remain important media inasmuch as they promote the message of climate change. These messages, however, should not be taken at face value because there are some inherent biases (for example, the algorithmic bias) that straightforwardly reflect the lack of environment consciousness characteristic of colonialism. Due to the immensity of the subject and the unknowing persistence of colonial thinking, much of these get reproduced. This paper suggests alternative approaches to global climate-change through digital games.
