7 grudnia 2025 r. o godz. 19.00 poznamy laureatów Śląskiej Nagrody Naukowej 2025 – jednego z najważniejszych wyróżnień przyznawanych podczas Śląskiego Festiwalu Nauki Katowice. Różne uczelnie i środowiska spotykają się na jednej scenie, by uhonorować osoby, które swoją pracą przesuwają granice wiedzy, tworzą nowe idee i inspirują kolejne pokolenia. Nagroda trafia do naukowców i naukowczyń, które prezentują wybitne osiągnięcia naukowe lub artystyczne, a także sprawiają, że śląska nauka wybrzmiewa w Polsce i na świecie. Uczelnie współorganizujące ŚFN wyłaniają swoich nominowanych zgodnie z wewnętrznymi procedurami, a następnie Kapituła Nagrody – złożona z ich przedstawicieli – dokonuje wyboru laureatów. W tym roku jej pracami kieruje prof. dr hab. dr h.c. Bogusław Przywora, p.o. rektora Uniwersytetu Jana Długosza w Częstochowie. W ramach Śląskiej Nagrody Naukowej przyznawane są też nagrody specjalne oraz nagroda w kategorii Doktoranci. Gala to moment, w którym świętujemy pasję, kreatywność i odwagę w myśleniu – wartości, które napędzają nasz region i pokazują, jak śląska nauka inspiruje świat nowymi odkryciami.
On 7 December 2025, at 7:00 PM, we will get to know the winners of the Silesian Science Award 2025 – one of the most important awards granted during the Silesian Science Festival Katowice. This is a moment when different universities and different communities come together on one stage to honor people who, through their work, push the boundaries of knowledge, create new ideas, and inspire future generations. The award goes to scientists who demonstrate outstanding scientific or artistic achievements, but also make Silesian science resonate in Poland and around the world. The universities co-organising the ŚFN select their nominees in accordance with internal procedures, and then the Award Committee – composed of their representatives – selects the laureates. This year, its work is led by Prof. Bogusław Przywora, Acting Rector of the Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa. The Silesian Scientific Award also awards special prizes and a prize in the "PhD Students" category. The Gala is a moment when we celebrate passion, creativity, and courage in thinking – values that drive our region and show how Silesian science inspires the world with new discoveries.
