Ślązacy są największą nieuznawaną mniejszością etniczną w Polsce. Od lat walczą o uznanie śląskiej tożsamości i śląskiego języka regionalnego. Głos w tych sprawach co rusz zabierają różni liderzy opinii – od polityków, przez artystów, na naukowcach skończywszy. Każdy z osobna działa na rzecz śląskiej sprawy. A gdyby tak powołać oficjalną reprezentację Ślązaków i Ślązaczek? Kto powinien się w niej znaleźć? Kto powinien kreować debatę na temat śląskości w mediach i oficjalnie reprezentować śląską społeczność? Przeprowadźmy wspólnie eksperyment. Podczas wykładu Katarzyna Siwczyk z Instytutu Dziennikarstwa i Komunikacji Medialnej UŚ przedstawi wyniki prowadzonych od trzech lat badań nad aktywnością medialną liderów opinii w zakresie spraw śląskich i na podstawie zebranych danych zaproponuje skład reprezentacji, a następnie zaprosi do dyskusji publiczność, która będzie mogła wyrazić swoje zdanie, i zaproponuje zmiany w tej drużynie.
Silesians are the largest unrecognised ethnic minority in Poland. For years they have been fighting for the recognition of Silesian identity and the Silesian regional language. Various opinion leaders, from politicians to artists and scientists, are constantly speaking out on these matters. Each of them works individually for the Silesian cause. What if we established an Official Representation of Silesians? Who should be in it? Who should create a debate on Silesianness in the media and officially represent the Silesian community? Let's conduct an experiment together. During the lecture, Katarzyna Siwczyk from the Institute of Journalism and Media Communication at the University of Silesia will present the results of three years of research on the media activity of opinion leaders in the field of Silesian affairs and, based on the collected data, will propose the composition of the team. Then, she will invite the audience to a discussion, where they will be able to express their opinion and propose changes to this team.
