We invite you to a meeting with Piotr Jaxa - a film director and photographer, living in Switzerland from 1982 to 2019. He has made dozens of documentaries and feature films around the world – his works have been shown and won awards at festivals in Cannes, Mannheim, Krakow, Los Angeles, and Berlin, among others. Member of the Swiss (SCS) and Polish (PSC) associations of operators. In 2009 he was awarded the Lohn-Ammannsegg Lifetime Achievement Award and was elected to the Swiss Film Academy. At the same time, he works as a freelance photographer, specialising in film set and editorial photography. He has published extensively in various media throughout Europe, the United States, Japan and China. To crown his photographic collaboration with Krzysztof Kieślowski on the set of the Three Colours trilogy, he prepared a photography exhibition entitled "Remembering Krzysztof", which has been traveling around the world since 1994 (over 25 shows in 15 countries). He is also the author of several photography books: L’esprit de Genève (1988), Oh! Barcelone (1992) oraz Poschiavo, un mondo di valle (1998). Since 1995, he has been working on a photography exhibition project entitled Cinematographers – a collection of portraits of cinematographers from around the world. So far, he has photographed 141 cinema artists from 30 countries on four continents.
